We feel that the profile is crucial to our success
because you can't expect your Recruiting Consultant to represent
you adequately if they have never been there. During the profile,
we will consult with you regarding the expected qualifications
of the candidate, the procedures for scheduling visits, the interview
process, and mutual expectations of the client, the physician,
and Colonial Health Group.
When your Recruiting Consultant speaks to a physician and spouse
interested in interviewing with you, you will receive a professional
physician profile of the candidate. This profile will discuss
the candidate's education, training, practice history, as well
as their curriculum vitae and three written references that Colonial Health Group
has personally obtained. If you would like to interview the physician,
Colonial Health Group will set-up everything for you. If you would like to extend
an offer to the candidate after the interview, Colonial Health Group has Corporate
Counsel on-site to assist with expediting this process. This
removes you from the give and take of negotiations, uncomfortable
contract discussions, and questions of organization and policy
or other sensitive issues.
Once the contract is signed Colonial Health Group will assist you with any licenses
that need to be obtained as well as relocation assistance if
necessary. Your Recruiting Consultant will also follow-up with
you throughout the first six months to make sure that you are
still happy with your new physician.
Physician Expectations
The first time you speak to Colonial Health Group, you will speak to one of our
Research Consultants. That person will ask you a lot of questions
regarding your education/training, practice history, desire
to relocate, ideal practice, and family interests. We want
to make sure that we are presenting you what you are interested
in, not what we want you to hear about. We do not have a preconceived
end in mind when speaking to you. The Research Consultant will
present your information to the Colonial Health Group recruiters that are working
with the groups like those you have described. If we have something
that fits 70% or more of your needs we will then present that
opportunity to you.
When we present you an opportunity that you are interested in
and want to interview for, we will need to get a copy of your
curriculum vitae and three references that we can call. We will
also need a few dates that you could interview with your spouse
if applicable. As a physician making a major change you may want
to visit several facilities before making a decision. On the
other hand, if a facility meets about 85% of your needs don't
be afraid to listen to your intuition. After the interview, if
the opportunity is something that you wish to pursue, allow your
Recruiting Consultant and Colonial Health Group's Corporate Counsel to act as the
third party negotiator on your behalf. This removes you from
the give and take and sometimes negative impressions that could
be gained through contract negotiations.
